The Great "Turkey" Caper....

So here is the premise, someone comes into your office with a LIVE “turkey” (we had to use roosters). Your options are: 1) Keep it at your office for the afternoon or 2) pay $20 and we will deliver it to who ever you choose. We had a great time, in spite of the looks we received from people. You just can’t walk into most businesses in Fallon with live farm animals without raising a few eyebrows.

From all of us here at the Club…thank you to all the good sports in Fallon. Together we raised over $2000.00….here are a few photos…

Fallon Youth Club Open House October 28 5:30-7:00pm

Good morning everyone, once again the Club is opening its doors for an Open House. Everyone is welcome.  We think it is very important that our community see first hand what we do at the Club everyday. As always our members will be giving tours. It is always fun to see the Club from the kid’s perspective.

This is not a fundraiser just a time for our kids to show their Club and let the community see their donations at work. Tours only take about 15-20 minutes. Follow the link below for all the details.
Hope you can find time to stop by.

Fall Fun at the Club

Happy Fall!!  As the weather turns brisk in the mornings and sunny in the afternoons we have found lots of ways to fill our afterschool time here at the Club....
So first we had to be very creative.  What to do with all these members day after day as the skies have opened up and threaten to drown us all

Then we had to figure out how to keep them out of the puddles that had formed….
We gave up on this endeavor and took that old adage about lemons and lemonade applied it here and made boats!!

We here at the Club invite you to stop by Thursday, October 28 to our open house.  This is not a fundraiser but rather a friend raiser.  Our kids love to show off their space.  Stop by any time between 5:30-7:00 for a member guided tour, light refreshments will be served.  Hope to see you there!

What our Summer Food Program means to kids in our community

This summer was so busy. Serving lunches at 6 sites as well as all of the activities at the Club everyday can be exhausting. Then one day you check the mail and a letter like this arrives...

Summer 2010 is in the record books!

Summer 2010 came to an end with the first day of school, and what a summer it was.
Serving more than 80 kids a day at the Club and nearly 8000 lunches at six sights we were all very busy.

Here are a few photos of all the fun we had…..

Financial Support

We also need the financial support of caring people to help us reach children who need us most. Your investment gives The Fallon Youth Club a chance to develop a generation of young people who are productive and caring citizens. They will become our community, national and world leaders, exhibiting strong character and integrity to build a better life for themselves, better communities for their fellow citizens and a stronger America. A myriad of kids depend on the Fallon Youth Club. We must continue to reach out to additional children through programs that teach many important life skills and set expectations of success.
